Discovering Cattolica
Cattolica: what to see and do
Cattolica welcomes you with the cheerful spirit of Romagna and the warmth of a town that lives for the sea. Discover a truly unique destination!
Its ancient seafaring spirit is still very much alive: just pop down to the harbor early in the morning to see the fishing boats returning with the day’s catch, just as they used to. In the heart of the city lies Piazza Primo Maggio, famous for its dancing fountains: every evening, jets of water and colored lights dance to the beat of the music, enchanting both young and old.
For some relaxation and shopping, the streets of Bovio, Mancini, and Fiume are lined with boutiques and cafés, while Viale Dante is the perfect place to find the ideal souvenir. On cloudy days, a visit to the Cattolica Aquarium is a must: it’s the second-largest in Italy!
